Our website has been open for over a year now, which has provided us with the oportunity to prove our skills throughout a wide series of concerts an festivals. Therefore (and luckily enough), our skills have now improved, and we will be able to offer even better pictures for all of you to enjoy.
At the same time, we have decided to "spring clean" our gallery, removing many of the pictures that don't match our quality standards anymore. We apologize for the inconvinience, but promise we will take much better pictures of the bands that have been deleted as soon as we get a chance for it.

At the moment we are renovating the website, but this will take some time, so please be patient. Here you are the concerts that we worked at during the end of last year, in case you have missed them:

Summer is gone indeed, and thus venues' season has made its comeback! This autumn seems to be especially interesting, many internationally reknown bands will be visiting Finland from almost about any music style that could be wished for. At the same time, Finnish bands will keep on playing both in their home country and abroad, some of them promoting their recently released works. A good example of the latter are Swallow the Sun, who have just released their long-awaited new album "Plague of Butterflies" and decided to promote it with an original acoustic gig in Levykauppa Äx in Helsinki.

We have opened up this new venues' season in our gallery with a few recent gigs in Helsinki, click on the links to check them out!

One year more, summer festivals have come to an end. Behind remain several months of sunshine (not always), good music (not always) and good company (not always?). Anyway, no matter what they turn out to be in the end, summer festivals will still be something that makes us look forward to next summer.
Our team has been working in several of them this summer, aka Sauna Open Air, Provinssirock, Tuska Open Air, Ruisrock and Kuopio Rockcock, all our pictures can be found in our Events Gallery.

SUMMER FESTIVALS ARE BACK!!
In fact, now is that time of the year when we all begin to really count down for those summer festivals that we are planning to attend. The offer is once more varied and full of possibilities, especially in Finland.

Some highlights:

This festival basically opens the season, and it's becoming one of the biggest ones in Finland. Some of the bands this year include: Scorpions, Whitesnake, Children of Bodom, Sebastian Bach, Stone, KYPCK and Testament.
more info: www.sauna-open-air.fi

The biggest rock festival in Finland, it's commonly known as "the festival of people", and greatly appreciated for it's great atmosphere. Some of the bands performing this year: Foo Fighters, Linkin Park, Hardcore Superstar and The Sounds.
more info: www.provinssirock.fi

Possibly "THE" finnish metal Festival, internationally renown and appreciated. Death/Thrash metal lovers will especially enjoy this year, with bands such as: Morbid Angel, Slayer, Carcass, Kreator, Dimmu Borgir and Shade Empire.
more info: www.tuska-festival.fi

The oldest rock festival in Finland, and second oldest in Europe, always counts with big bands. This year couldn't be less, and some of the bands to perform will be: Nightwish, HIM, Bullet for my Valentine, Porcupine Tree, At the Gates and Kent.
more info: www.ruisrock.fi

The second oldest rock festival in Finland, counts with a great atmosphere and organization, and one of the most varied music offers. Almost any kind of music has its place in this festival, from metal and rock to reggae, hip-hop and folk: Common, Cult of Luna, The Heptones, Mogwai, Nightwish, Stam1na, Diablo and much more!
more info: www.ilosaarirock.fi

This small festival in the middle of Finland counts with an awesome atmosphere among the crowd, and is growing bigger each year. Mostly you'll be able to listen to finnish bands, but some big international names are always added to the bill. This year's highlights include Cradle of Filth, Katatonia, Anathema, Mustach and Turmion Kätilöt.
more info: www.kuopiorock.fi

And last but not least, the biggest and best known metal festival, the almighty Wacken. The billing list is so extense that it would be impossible to list it here, but we would like to make a especial remark on the first Wacken performance of one of our websites favourite, the finnish band Stam1na. They have possibly prepared something especial, so if you are planning to go to Wacken don't miss their gig!!

The well known band from the United States Good Charlotte visited Jäähalli on the 3rd of this month, in order to promote their new album "Morning Revival". Their visit was surrounded by some more expectation than just the musical one, as the always polemic Paris Hilton also visited Helsinki in order to attend their concert.

Just one day after Good Charlote, the restaurant Manala hosted the event "Latomeri Liekeissä". The band from Oulu Charon was one of the bands playing in Manala, after several months of no live shows in Finland, as the band is currently working on the upcoming album.

Mokoma, which is possibly one of the dearest bands among the finnish metalheads, played in Tavastia last Saturday. Their latest album "Luihin ja Ytimiin" is getting excelent reviews, and the amount of people gathered in Tavastia made it clear that the public shares this opinion.

And once more, when it seemed that almost all had already been done in the metal scene, a new band shows up to prove that statement is far from being an absolute truth. KYPCK (pronounced "kursk") is a new band indeed, even though it counts with really experienced musicians among its members, such as Sami Lopakka from Sentenced on the guitars and the producer Hiili Hiilesmaa on the drumms. However, one of the most shocking characteristics about this finnish band is possibly that they sing in russian! The singer, Erkki Seppänen speaks it fluently, and has even worked in the Embassy in Moscow.
The music itself is worth giving a try to. Dark, gloomy and heavy, the russian language gives way to a completely new and unique atmosphere. Their show in Nosturi was received with really good critics among the crowd, and counted with the collaboration of Sami Kukkohovi also on the guitars, former Sentenced bass player.

Supporting were the russian band Dominia, and the finns 45 Degree Woman. Especial mention goes to Dominia, who proved that, even though it's possibly not such a common thing, Russia can also provide really good quality metal bands.

Easter has certainly been a busy period in Helsinki, at least music-wise. Several bands have been playing all around the city, and some days choosing where to go was not the easiest decision of the night. Nevertheless, something was to be chosen, and the final outcome turned out to be more than satisfactory.

The first gig for us was Teräsbetoni in Tavastia. The finns (who will be representing Finland in this year's Eurovision contest) have come back with a new album, Myrskyntuoja, when many people already forebode the end of the band. The end seems to be less than unlikely though, and most of the people who enjoyed the gig will possible agree with this.
Some pictures can be found in our gallery:

Teräsbetoni

The next happening turned out to be the gig of MyGrain in Nightlife Rock. The small place gathered a fairly big amount of people, who spent the whole gig with raised arms, moshing and singing along. The band certainly deserves it though, as not only they create quality music and songs, but also have a powerful life show.

On saturday we had the chance to sneak into one of the events organized for the 30th anniversary of The Live Music Association (ELMU ry.), which corresponded to gig of Rytmihäiriö and Stam1na, two bands seems the finnish audience seems to love especially (this was easily proved by the fact that it sold out long before the date itself).
Both bands have recently released new albums, as well as recorded new videos: Rytmihäiriö's Siriuksen Samurai and Stam1na's Lääke (which was censored by subtv already a few days after its release).
Pictures of the gig can be found in our gallery (especial mention to Stam1na's tattoos and "accessories"!):

And finally, Tavastia was visited again on Sunday for the gig of Elenium and Kiuas. Unluckily enough the last minute decision to change the starting times unabled us to get to the place on time for Elenium, but Kiuas had a great gig anyway, even with some guest musicians on stage.

CARMEN GRAY IN THE STUDIO! (pictures)
The Finnish band Carmen Gray (check their website here) has been busy in the Finnvox studios during February and March, recording their second album with the legendary producer T. T. Oksala. The new album will be available next autumn, and the first single should be released before summer.

Vanii has had the honour of being invited to the studio, so don't loose this chance to have a peek at what was going on during the recordings!

Turmion Kätilöt is possibly one of the most amazing musical creations Finland has given birth to in the last years. Their stage performance would possibly be described in many different ways, but it should at least be pointed out as being different, shocking and transgressive. The music is certainly different aswel, could possibly be described as industrial, but it's still (quite much as their performance) one of a kind.
Hence, it's not difficult to understand why they turned into the newest finnish music "sensation" almost since the very beginning, and are having such a well diserved success.

** Especial thanks to C2c from the Turmion Kätilöt Website for the support!!

MyGrain (or Mike Rain, as was announced) and Elenium could be seen rocking the stage of Rocktown on Valentine's day, in which was a rather "widely known secret" release party/gig of MyGrain's new album, "Signs of Existence". Funnily enough, the album came out the same day as Stam1na's "Raja", and both Tommi from MyGrain and Antti from Stam1na have collaborated in the recordings of each other's new albums. February also hosted one of the most awaited winter metal events in Finland, the Finnish Metal Expo. The offer covers basically anything you can imagine has something to do with the metal music business, from record labels, managing agencies and gear, to merchandising and clothing (this year introducing some silver jewelery for the beards!!).
Obviously, the music itself is one of the main points of the whole event, and several bands, both finnish and foreigner, hit the stage during the weekend, including clinics held by some of the most respected finnish musicians. The Finnish Metal Awards were also annouced during friday, and most of them went to Nightwish and Mokoma. Pictures of the event can be found in the gallery:

Deathstars are at the moment touring Europe with Korn and Flyleaf, but people in Helsinki were last week able to enjoy them with a full-length show as headliners. The Spinefeast this year changed its location from Nosturi to the Tallink Galaxy boat, on a cruise to Tallinn and back. The line-up consisted of some well-known finnish bands such as Children of Bodom, Ensiferum and Viikate, and a few bands with are possibly not so familiar such as Hanging Garden, Agonizer and Murena.
Nevertheless, LoudArts was especially interested in Warmen. The so-called side project of Janne Wirman from Children of Bodom is a real rarity to see live, and such an oportunity was not to be wasted. Tuomas Väinölä joined the official line-up on the guitars (Janne Wirman and his brother Antti, Lauri Porra from Stratovarius and Mirka Rantanen from Thunderstone) and they also counted with some respected finnish musicians on the vocals, Pasi Rantanen (ex Thunderstone), Jonna Kossonen (ex Nylon Beat) and Alexi Laiho himself.

It's widely accepted that Jyväskylä gathers a great amount of quality metal bands, and Ghost Brigade and Insomnium are a perfect example of it.
Ghost Brigade is posibly not so well known, but their music is certainly worth checking out: dark and moody, but heavy and complex at the same time. Their new album Guided by Fire was released in September and LoudArts had the oportunity to be in the release party in Lutakko (Jyväskylä).
The well known band Insomnium headlined the event, in one of their last gigs in Finland before they get into the studio to record the upcoming album. This band's recording sessions are known for lasting for a really long time, but the outcome is always worth the waiting!

No less than four bands last friday in Nosturi. The evening started with the thrashy metal of Axegressor and The Scourger, the latter offering a kick-ass performance that managed to make many people in the first rows go crazy.
Next came the turn of Profane Omen, finnish band that really stands out for their powerful live act. Their performance certainly proved the previous statement is not an exageration. Finally Before the Dawn hit the stage, eagerly awaited. Their last album "Deadlight" might possibly be counting among the most interesting releases in Finland in 2007, and even though they needed a bit of time to "heat up" their performance certainly delighted everyone towards the end, leaving us craving for some more.

Mokoma has finished the recording of their sixth studio album, which is due to be released November 28th, 2007. The album is titled "Luihin ja ytimiin", and it will contain 12 new songs. The band describes the album as "the most layered recording" of their career, as the production method was more profound as in their previous recordings.

"The songs contain more soundscape elements and we were using more time to fine tune the arrangements, as we have done previously", states lead-singer Marko Annala.
